Welcome to  Book Gallery  West, one of the most unique bookstores you will ever visit.  More like a neighborhood hangout than  a  bookstore, Book Gallery West  has  something  for everyone.   Started in 1983 on Main Street in Gainesville with a focus on college textbooks, the original owner of Book Gallery wanted a second  location that offered other kinds of books.  The second location, on the west side of town, became Book Gallery West and eventually replaced the parent store.  It has flourished selling new and used books as well as the trading of paperbacks. 

Over the years, Book Gallery West has developed into the perfect place to buy  both  great  books  as  well  as  beautiful  gifts  and  unique  cards.   Purses,  earrings,
journals, incense, chimes, suncatchers, dolls, gourmet jellies - it doesn't get much more diverse than this!   And we gift wrap for free.  And the latest news: our plans to add a coffee shop are progressing.  We will keep you posted.  

Current New York Times best sellers are always on sale.  Hardback best sellers are discounted 25%.  Paperback best sellers are discounted 10%.  New children's and adolscent books are always sold at a 10% discount as well.  And there is always a sale going on in front of the store: 25 cents - $2.95 for books and gift items up to 50% off.  So what are you waiting for? 

By the way, we want your used books.  Don't be shy about bringing them in.  You can either take the cash and run or take a store credit.
